Originally from Jacksonville, Fl but has made Tampa, Florida his home the last 23 years. -MOODZ RECORDS founder & recording artist, DJ Gemini has made a name for himself in the Florida club scene over the last 27 years as one of the most sought after DJ's & production designers around. Having residencies in clubs in Jacksonville, Orlando, Gainesville, to Tampa, Gemini has worked with some of the top named DJ/producers of today. Playing alongside some of the biggest names in the world such as Avicii, Steve Aoki, Sebastian Ingrosso from “The Swedish House Mafia”, Afrojack, Cazzette, Alesso, Nervo, Ferry Corsten, Roger Sanchez, Nadia Ali, Sultan & Shepard, Swanky Tunes, Chuckie, Arty, LMFAO, Will.I.AM from “The Black Eyed Peas”, Edward Mya, BT, Paul van Dyk, Sasha, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Icey, Kimball Collins, Sharaz, Brad Smith, DJ X, and Baby Anne, to name a few- he has developed a style of djing that crosses over the boundaries of being just a one dimensional DJ. From Funky Breaks to progressive house, Electro House, Deep House  and Trance, Gemini has proven that he is & continues to be one of the best DJ’s out of Florida. 

 

Gemini starting out working as the lighting technician at “The Edge” in Jacksonville back in ’91. He then moved to Orlando in ’94 to continue working at “The Edge” with DJ Icey, Cliff Tangredi, DJ Sandy, Andy Hughes, D-Extreme & many others. He then moved to Tampa in ’96 & held residencies in some of the largest nightclubs in the bay area! 

 

Gemini, as a DJ, really started to make a name for himself in the mid 90’s in the underground Tampa “rave" circuit at clubs such as “The Fantasy Ranch”, “Liquid City”, & “The Cozmos Club”. Really making his mark on the Ybor City club scene in the late 90’s, he was the main force behind 1509, PRANA & Twilight nightclub. He will mostly be remembered from his legendary residency from ’98-2003 at "The Amphitheater Entertainment Complex" where he was one of the founding dj’s of the legendary “Saturday night Live” on 93.3 FLZ! During this time, he was essential with working with ICON EDM event promoter John Santoro (of “Sunset Music Festival”) bringing EDM music DJ’s to the Amphitheater for the very first time. He also had one of the longest running “Electronic Dance Music” nights in Clearwater on Tuesday nights from 2000-2005 at Stormans Palace. 

 

Gemini held a residency from 2007-2012 at “The Venue” nightclub in Clearwater, Fl, where he was an essential part of bringing in some of the biggest dj’s in the world with his partner Robert Uzzillia & long time friend Najib “Hawk”Elmasri such as Avicii, Nervo, Chuckie, Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso, Steve Aoki, Arty & many others to the bay area! From 2012-2017, once again with his partner Robert Uzzillia, he was the resident dj & ran all of the special events at Beach Bar formerly HOGANS BEACH where he played alongside some of the biggest names in EDM today such as Above & Beyond, Afrojack , Skrillex, Marshmello, Dash Berlin, Robin Schulz, Dillon Francis, Diplo, Slander & NGHTMRE, Ghastly, Firebeatz, Excision, Ookay, Adventure Club, Tchami, Getter, Duke Dumont, Flosstradamus, Snails, Zomboy, Carnage, Laidback Luke, Tommy Trash, The Chainsmokers, Cedric Gervais, Cash Cash & Zeds Dead & is still essential in bringing some of the biggest Electronic Dance Music DJ’s from all over the world to central Florida. He is now currently one of the resident dj’s & the production manager at the DRYNK in South Tampa, Fl playing alongside dj’s such as Audien, Gallantis, Bassjackers, Don Diablo, GTA & more.

 

With all of his constant residencies, he still managed to find time to travel & play all around the US, Europe, & South America to bring his music to the masses at festivals & nightclubs all over the globe. With all of these weapons under his belt, Gemini definitely has the pulse on what club goers want to hear, and most importantly, on what makes them want to dance!
